Over the Labor Day Holiday we had a little BassResource.com pow-wow at Barkley and Kentucky Lakes. Our host, Risk Kid entertained at his house and CJ fished ghoti and me on his boat for two days. Alpster spent his vacation working on the upcoming outing. It was great seeing everyone, but the dinner Saturday night was the coup de grace!

Thank you Carl!

Thank you Chris!

sounds like y'all had a great time.  fishing ky lake with cj is probably pretty close to fishing stick marsh with george or varner with randall.  chris obviously knows the lake and can flat out stick 'em.  i don't reckon y'all could have had a cooler guy to fish with.  congrats to all of ya and thanks for what y'all are doing with the road trip.  glad y'all had fun and hope y'all caught a bunch. :)

Can I get a big AMEN to that?

A good time was had by all.

Carl does a mean steak. It was the first one I've had in a long time. I've been on the cardiologist's diet; the one that says if it tastes good, spit it out. The steak Carl put on my plate was worth the wait. AWESOME!!!

Carl has a great place on Barkley. He very graciously opened it to all of us. Thank you, Carl. I owe you a big one.

CJ took Kent and me out on his boat two days. This is a fine young man, and a kick arse fisherman. Thank you, Chris. I owe you one, too.

I didn't get to fish with either Carl or Ronnie. That's an oversight we'll be correcting soon, I hope.

It was great to see everybody. I wish I could do it more often.

That's just how it works in the family.  ;)

Carl, thanks for the steak and Ghoti that was an excellent salad and sweet tater! It was time well spent.

It's always my pleasure when members come and fish with me. Thank all you guys for the company! I had a blast!

Just want to drop my $.02 on this thread. I Had an awesome time on Barkley & KY Lake this weekend also. It was great to see the member contingent and to hang out and fellowship on Carl's porch. Thanks for putting us up while we ate all your food. You are the man Carl. Counting the last two road trips, this was my third (that's right count em) 16 oz ribeye steak off of Carl's grill and he is consistent. The steak is awesome and I have to agree with CJ that the sweet potatoes and salad were great also, thanks Gary! Thank you Carl! I didn't get to fish as I was checking out the diggs for the road trip. It is going to easily be the best yet. I am very stoked about this trip. I will be posting a report on the 'Road trip thread' with pictures shortly. Thanks also to CJ for pointing me in the right direction to research trip info. It saved me a ton of time when there was none to waste.

I think fishing is really meant to be exactly this as has been noted above...

Good friends sharing good times creating good memories makes for a good life

And when you all share these types of comments from your  experiences, we all are happy.....Life is good

MMMMM......STEAK!!!!!

Knowing the personalities of the people hanging out last weekend, I am truly sorry I was unable to make the trip w/ Ronnie.

Thanks again to all of you for calling me at work, telling me about some giant brown fish and then informing me you were sitting down to one of Carl's ribeyes.

I will remember this   ;D

Glad to hear everyone made it home safely and a good time was had by all.

BTW, Russ, why are you complaining about not having steak?  From what I've heard, the only things you eat are bean sprouts and tofu.   ;D ;D ;D

LOL, normally I would pile it on here....

I have now seen this guy consume as much, if not more, food than I did during my trip to RI.

Still dont make a difference and he is still a little shart.... ;D
