MaxDal Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Bravo Bravo 8-) Man ! Such a lunker on a jig N' Pig .... you accomplished my dream Just a question, that behemoth seems to have pretty damaged fins.... especially the tail. It seems to be cut and the cut is pretty clean. I'm pretty sure there is no longer bedding bass in faraway California. Do you think this could be someone marking the fish he catches. I'm asking that because some trophy hunters here in Europe do that on big carps, and pikes. I do think it's pretty lame...... I hope nobody does that to your beautiful bass. That would be a pity. Splendid bass anyway ! Quote

Super User David P Posted July 13, 2008 Author Super User Posted July 13, 2008 Uh-OH!!! LBH ; as soon as he gets you hooked on swimbaits, he knocks out his PB with a jig. Gotta love fishing! ;D You gonna get a replica BJ? b My 12 and 13 are both on small baits. Go figure! I'll never stop throwing swimbaits, but there's a time and place for everything. I'm planning on it. My birthday is in November I'll be turning 21, so I might ask for that as a gift from someone. I got the measurements which I didn't get on my 12, so I'm happy. I'd love to get a replica of my 12 and 13, the 12 was an unofficial lake record and my first DD, and this fish is my first Teen fish! Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted July 13, 2008 Super User Posted July 13, 2008 And what were you telling me the other day? "I want to catch a teen fish so bad".... Congratulations buddy. You deserve it! Quote

Infidel. Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Dude, come on. You know that when a fish that big eats a jig, it eats it! You caught that thing on a night crawler while catfishing. Then stuck one of your home made jigs in the corner of it's mouth for the pic. Which is fine with me, I'm just jealous as a SOB. Good job bro! Oh, and who showed you to use Sweet Beavers for trailers? Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted July 14, 2008 Super User Posted July 14, 2008 Great job man!! I'm jealous. As hard as I fish here in WV, I know in my heart of hearts that I will never catch a bass that big. That is my pain. I can always hope... :-/ He's gunning for you Bizz. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted July 15, 2008 Super User Posted July 15, 2008 Thanks guys, and thanks for the chat Robert. Any time pal. Quote

Super User David P Posted July 15, 2008 Author Super User Posted July 15, 2008 Haha, no need to white out the back round on the delta. There's wayyyyyyy too much water to figure out where I'm at, and who's to even say I didn't go 5 miles somewhere else for the photo Quote

Super User Bassn Blvd Posted July 16, 2008 Super User Posted July 16, 2008 What an oinker. Great fish man!!!!! Quote
Super User David P Posted July 17, 2008 Author Super User Posted July 17, 2008 Thanks everyone, it's finally sinking in now, had some other issues that kept me from enjoying the sheer beauty of the fish the first few days, but now, it's settling in. Honestly, the best feeling is that it was caught on a jig, I made. I encourage everyone to try tying jigs, making crankbaits, or even just modifying already existing baits. It brings another edge to fishing. Quote
