GitRDoneIke23 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 What would you stimate the girth on this fish to be??? The length is 17 inches. I forgot to measure the girth before I relased it! :-[ :-[ :-[ Thank's!!! -Ike Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted July 8, 2008 Super User Posted July 8, 2008 Not sure about the girth, but that looks like a 2.8 - 3.2 lb. fish to me if that helps. Quote
JShrock07 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I would estimate the weight to be about 3 lbs as well, just a guess though on the girth I would say about 9-10 " Quote
Simp Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I landed the exact same size fish but possibly a tad skinner three days ago and it weighed in at 2lb 3oz. Quote
bowtech_182 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 To me that looks a lot like most of the 3 pound bass I catch Quote
Super User Sam Posted July 8, 2008 Super User Posted July 8, 2008 Le's assume it is 14 inches. 17 x 17 x 14 divided by 1200 = 3.37 pounds. But this is a guess. Remember this formula and you can figure out the weight - LENGTH x LENGTH x GRITH = POUNDS 1200 Give it a try. Quote
BassinBoy Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Id say 12 inch girth, making it almost 3 pounds. Quote
Super User Paul Roberts Posted July 8, 2008 Super User Posted July 8, 2008 A 17" bass would have to be pretty fat to hit 3lbs. This one looks on the thin side -I'd estimate 2-8 to 2-10. Length Weight (Largemouth bass in good body condition) 8 in. 5 oz. 9 in. 7 oz. 10 in. 9 oz. 11 in. 11 oz. 12 in. 14 oz 13 in. 1 lb. 3 oz 14 in. 1 lb. 7 oz 15 in. 1 lb. 13 oz. 16 in. 2 lb. 4 oz. 17 in. 2 lb. 12 oz. 18 in. 3 lb. 4 oz. 19 in. 3 lb. 14 oz. 20 in. 4 lb. 9 oz. 21 in. 5 lb. 6 oz. 22 in. 6 lb. 4 oz. 23 in. 7 lb. 3 oz.
