dmac14 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 So i have a cottage up in canada, and i know there are tons of bass in the lake there, i have gone snorkeling and seen some 8+ pounders. It's mostly rocky bottom with weedbeds mixed in, i usually fish drop offs and rocky shoals, and have never fished plastics there. I have pretty much only used crankbaits and they have done decent for me in the past. The lake has both largemouth and smallmouth so techniques for each would be helpful. I think the temperature will be warm about 80ish. So i was wondering where to start and what would work best? Quote
gar-tracker Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I would try a small creature bait, or small jig. Light line if you can. Just slowly work it off those rocks. When you dove what kind of bait fish did you see? lots Brim, or minnows stick with the hard baits. Crayfish and newts, try some plastics. Quote
