I fished the Rage Tail lobster today and caught 5 LMBs with them. These baits are awesome and they are a lot of fun to fish. My biggest was 3lbs 7ozs, he was short and had a fat gut, man did he slam that bait when it dropped in the water.

Thanks for the answer.

I'm on fence between Rage Tail's craw and new Lobster for 3/4 oz jig. I like my jig to be bulky. For summer ledge fishing that is.

I have a couple of brush hog in 5" so the Lobster comes in 4", that should do it then.

Looks like you have this presentation down pat.

When we meet at the new BPS you will have to show them to me.  ;)

Sam, I just followed Big O's advice on the lobsters, he is the man when it come to plastics in my opinion. I am having really good luck with all of the products he has designed.

FYI: Ibought the only pack the new BPS had. Hopefully they will have more in stock this coming week. If not just buy them at ***.com.

Here is a picture of another lmb I caught with the lobster.

Hey Rondef,

Glad you're liking the lobster. Received two packs of the "Big Tex" color Lobsters from TW and used them Friday flippin' shallow brush in a lake near my home. Caught 22 fish yet nothing over 4.5 lbs. But my thumbs are raw and my wrist are sore so it was a nice evening for sure.

Our fish are definitely movin' back up and getting more active so should be a great Fall fishing season. ;)

I used a Gamakatsu 5/0 EWG hook and a bullet weight. What do you mean pegged weight? The bullet weight slides on the line.

He was asking if you "pegged" the weight so that it didn't slide on the line.  You can do this with a piece of a toothpick or other method of affixing the weight to the line so that the weight does not move.

Hey what can I say, I love the whole Rage Tail product line. I have been catching a lot of fish with their products.

have you alot of success with also the space monkey and the shad ? i haven't got any yet , but they look very promising ! i love soft plastic topwaters . mostly i use Canyon plastics 4.5'' frogs , i think they are the best frogs ever , but it's time to try new products , and the rage tail series look good . any feed back on the space monkey and rage tail shad and the best technique would be VERY nice to hear !!!!  ;)

Threw an anaconda for the first time in my tourney last week. Ended up getting me big fish and the win. Time to pick up some lobsters.

how did you fish the anaconda ? texas-rigged, weightless , w/bullet sinker , swim it , twitch it on the bottom ???

I was throwing it t-rigged and weightless right at the edge of grass lines off points. Fished it very slow, twitching/ short sweeps. I wanted a bait that would move some water and the anaconda's tail seemed to do the trick. They really nailed it.

The lobster is my favorite jig trailer for football jigs or any other jigs 1/2oz or larger.  If I'm flipping heavy cover with it, I prefer a pegged tungsten 3/8oz weight.

It is by far one of my favorite soft plastics and has many, many applications.  It is not limited at all.  They are effective as a subtle alternative to topwater frogs/buzzbaits, swimming, hopping, or worked as a trailer.  It is a staple in my tacklebox.

The other ragetail products are just as outstanding.  Rondef is right on when he says that Big-O is the man when it comes to designing soft plastic lures.  There isn't anything out there that compares with the action.  I'm going to be using all of them on the BFL tournament trail next year.

For the Guy who asked about the shad. Its a awesome when the fish are shallow around weeds. It has replaced the buzz bait for me. I been killing them on it for a few weeks now. Really starting to think about a second frog rod just for the rage tails.

that's good to know , you know how when you are hooked on a certain frog that produces well , that it's hard to change unless you have proof or good recommendations , well i'll take yours and try it . i've seen them on tv , was it shaw who was using them , i can't remember , but you know that that doesn't justify ones purchasing of said lure .... ;)
