Wow!  There must be some big bass in the waters you all fish.

No, I do not throw baits that large.

Maybe if I lived in Texas, California or Florida I would throw them, but I stick to the standard sizes.

Well I don't mean to top it but, I've caught 8 in. bass on 12" worms. You don't have to live in Texas to throw a big worm. I think your going a little overkill with the 11/0 hook though. I have use as small as a 4/0 with 10" worms. I am currently using a 5/0. Usually any bass 15" and up eat a big worm it will suck the whole thing up in one gulp, a big fish especially. A smaller fish may have to be fed a little bit.

And to answer the question, YES

Fished yesterday afternoon here in NC and caught 4 fish on 10' worm c-rigged. Biggest was right at 16'  So yes definately fish it. Big worms are a great summer time bait.

You don't have to live in Cali or Tex to throw these baits.

Not sure you need a hook that big.

A 5/0 or 6/0 should do fine.  That's what I use when I fish Zoom Ole Monsters, and they're about an 11in worm.

There is no problem throwing huge worms during the day, it is one of my go to baits in the summer months. But, I think you are going a little too big on the hook, I get by just fine with a 5/0.

thanks for the feedback everybody, my wife and i went out, i only caught 1 bass on a shaky head, no luck on the tmack i did downsize on the hook using a 5/0 ewg but no luck, but we did rescue a boater with his two daughters, we were fishing and my wife saw a boat that was smoking pretty bad and a guy waving frantically, so we went over to investigate, his fanbelt had snapped causing the motor to seize has to tow him in, pretty funny my 1986 16' mirrocraft towing a 20' bayliner,

The 11/0 Owner isn't all that big.

For sure YES, throw 10" worms in daytime warm weather conditions and riggem any way you want to. My favorite hook is Eagle Claw long shank heavy wire 5/0. Shaw Grigsby and I fished recently, filming a new Rage Tail 10" worm and he showed me these hooks. Long narrow design allows ease thru grass etc and the hook point is offset just the right amount to get a sure hookset. They are Great and I have used just about everything in the way of hooks.

Good Fishing
