Great pictures too Kudo's to your club and all who turned out to help with the festivities, looks like a great day. Right on. Quote

TheBeast Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Was a great day, I even picked the right spot for us to set our Burley's and mine nephew's and his neice, just using the wrong bait. The people next to us ended up weighing in 6-8 between 3 kids. Of course I don't know that I would have put a marshmallow and a night crawler at the same time even if I had them if I hadn't seen them doing it and catching. Quote
Super User Sam Posted May 27, 2008 Super User Posted May 27, 2008 Burley, That looks like a fantastic event. You all did good. No, you all did GREAT! It is events like this and people like you and the guys in your club that help our sport become a reality for all. You and the guys are great ambassadors of fishing and one day I am going to drive up and meet you on my way to or from Lebanon. I'll let you know when I am headig up that way as I may have to be in Lebanon in a few months. Later, Sam Quote
TheBeast Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 Lebanon VA or TN? If VA it is only about 40 minutes away from us. Quote
Super User Sam Posted May 27, 2008 Super User Posted May 27, 2008 Virginia. Russell County. Exit 14 off I-81 and then about 20 miles into the beautiful mountains. Love the area. And the people are so nice, too. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted May 27, 2008 Super User Posted May 27, 2008 Way to go guys, looks like there was a bunch of fun had by all. Burley, did you tell all the kids that you are the official "Dinkmaster"? Quote
paul. Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 that's fantastic man. i know that meant a lot to those kids. Quote
TheBeast Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 This event is enough to make me rejoin the club each year even if I don't fish that many tourny's with them. Quote

I'm sure they allow volunteers If it's a closed thing, you're always welcome to participate at any of the CAST events down your way I think the "take a kid fishing" program is big in Va too. There's always a kid to take fishing somewhere,....just gotta look. You'll change him/her. Great job Burley Quote
TheBeast Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I'm sure they allow volunteers I don't need to volunteer I am a member of the club and work it anyway. As far as I know we don't close it to only members of the club working it I just haven't seen anyone but members of the club doing it the past 2 years, other than wives that come and help. Quote
