Top Posted May 20, 2008 Author Posted May 20, 2008 Eat well while you are home. You look too thin. ;D that is what the wife said... over the last year I have lost about 50 pounds... helps with my running though... OH and tomorrow morning I am going to take a trip up to FT Gordon and pick my the boat.. then being truly blessed will be an understatement... AL Quote
clipper Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 If I had to guess, that is a Ft. Stewart pond in the background of your picture. Those ponds have the reputation for holding some big bass and I hope you catch the biggest. WELCOME HOME and thanks a bunch. PS: Make sure you put the plug in that John Boat before you launch (lol). BIG thanks to my better half for giving me the green light to get this... I have been wanting a boat for over 3 years and I found one in my price range and she gave me the thumbs up... and a couple of fishes to keep it legal Quote

Low_Budget_Hooker Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 Couple questions. How is the boat with the high pedestals? (If tippy, they come in 9", more than enough legroom) How are those BLUE JEANS feeling? 50 lbs is a big deal, are many of the guys in your unit in the same boat or is this something you attained to do? When do you have to go back and for how long? Give everyone in your unit a big thumbs up from the BR crew please, let them know we are behind you and wishing all a safe return. Quote

I have been needing to lose a bit of weight and this deployment was a good time for me to dedicate the time to it... I can run anytime I want before or after work... I have to go back on the 4th and I am thru with this deployment in the middle of August sometime... thanks I will let them know... we are all pretty much just "tired" this 15 month rotation has really taken a toll on us all mentally.. it is just so long to be away from your loved ones... now my question to you.... when are you going to come get my boat and redo it? make it white with gray carpet... it needs new wiring and a new trolling motor would be the cat's meow too! ;D AL Quote
Top Posted May 24, 2008 Author Posted May 24, 2008 Went out with the neighbor today until the rain got a bit too hard and he didn't have a rain suit.... I got 5 he got 4... ;D it was another GOOOOOD day... AL Quote
