Well if you guys didnt see i just started on the forum. been listening and learning from all of you. Caught a PB the other day well 3 weeks ago on a nice texas rig. Fishing the same pond 3 hundred yards down today i was catching tons of smaller bass. Then i go and hook my superfluke in a tree. it was dangling the lure right on the waters surface so i let it fall thinking what the hell and the water erupted!!!! i saw a huge tail and i was wetting my pants. It was right in thick weeds and i only had 6lb test line, caught 15 smaller lb fish before and didnt redue my knots . i started walking through brush got all sorts of prickers in my crotch and face but ended up pulling in this Pig. dont know how much she weighed but i got her back in as soon as possible!

Might have to get a replica done. heres two pictures of her with different light and angles

a fatty...and well worth the prickers, right?

did you get the length and girth for your replica? there is a calculator on this site that will tell you the estimated weight with that info.

haha rough estimates on length and girth. see what the guy can do. where i fish catching a larger one would be as impossible as it could get then again.... ;D

man that's real cool.  well, except for the part about prickers in the crotch, peeing your pants, and not having a scale. ;D  seriously, great story and awesome fish.  i wouldn't blame you for wantin' a replica of that one at all.  glad you released her too.

Man, that's a shame you couldn't weigh that bass.

She could be well over 10 lbs, but that is such an

important number to most guys, it's really hard to

say without a scale.

Anyhow, CONGRATULATIONS!

She's a beauty.

Being from "Up North"

That fish is HUGE for our Waters......

Great Job

I was thinking the same thing.

Thing has to be pushin 10 and definatley at least 8 which is a monster in our parts.

That is a great fish! And you caught her on 6lb test so that makes it even better!  Man I wish they grew that big here in the north!

he lives farther north than you do

Awesome fish man!!! Congrats! Looks like a DD to me.

well the guy who posted new pbpbpbpbp in the more recent post caught a fish what looks like the same size and says its around 8lbs so i guess its close to that

10 lbs maaaaaaaay be a lil too much hahaha ill take a 7.5 ;D

Great fish.  Awesome story.  I would of guessed 7lbs, but you can't tell just by a pic.  You need to get a scale.  I've seen pictures of a 9lbers that looked smaller than yours, and pics of 5lbers that look bigger.

hahah o well ill take 7lbs u got a nice fish by the way how much did that pig go for?

Wow pictures really throw a curve. From the picture i would not think that bass was any less than 9.5 pounds, probably 10. it is definetly time to invest in a scale  ;)
