Super User Bankbeater Posted May 5, 2008 Super User Posted May 5, 2008 Hit the water on Saturday about 6:30 AM. Wind was from the NW at about 5 MPH with gusts up around 15 MPH. Air temp was 54 and the water temp was 65. Things started out pretty good. We boated 9 small LM by 9:00 AM on t-rigged plastic, and the boat was doing OK in the wind. By 10:00 AM we were trying to decide if we should pull the boat in and walk the bank. The only thing I could throw with the wind were jigs and carolina rigs. Wind was steady out of the NW around 15 MPH with gusts up to 25 MPH. We ended up staying with the boat and catching 22 LM. All of them were 1 to 2 pounds except for this one that went 4-7. I got him on a jig along side of an old log that you can see behind me. Quote
Mrs. Matstone Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Congrats, nice fish. I hate fishing in the wind but you did very well. ;D Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted May 5, 2008 Author Super User Posted May 5, 2008 Thanks. While we were taking pictures and weighing this fish the boat blew into the bank. Gotta love the wind. Quote
