Bassnbrett101 Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I only got 44th place out of 98 :'( Oh well, I couldnt really compete with the winning wieght of 37 lbs since it was the second time I've ever been there w.o prefishing lol Quote
FR0G Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I know how you feel man. My last tournament I have never been to the lake, nor did I prefish. Your time will come! At least you didn't get 98th place! Quote
Bassnbrett101 Posted May 2, 2008 Author Posted May 2, 2008 lol its ok. I'm still going to midatlantic divisionals, I'm hoping to qualify for the state classic through the State team tournament anyway. It's just fishing though, everyday is a new day Had an awesome time at Mr BASS though, we were on the potomac and I must have caught 80 fish total that weekend lol. Most of them were about a 1/2 inch under that 15 inch limit line lol. Frustrating but atleast I caught fish, some guys didnt catch any at all. Quote
Super User Tin Posted May 2, 2008 Super User Posted May 2, 2008 I know what you mean dude, in last year's RI's Best of the Best Tourney I had 8 keepers, all were b/w 12-13 inches, and I was acctually catching rats on a jig and keepers on a finesse worm. It only took 7 pounds to be in the money. : I hate fishing in the northeast. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I hate fishing in the northeast. No you don't, you just don't realize it yet Reminds me of the first time I skied out west, totally different snow, it is much more forgiving than in the east. Learn where it's tough and you can reign supreme when the going gets easy. Brett- Your attitude is very level and admirable. You are competitive but not to a fault. rare. Quote
Bassnbrett101 Posted May 2, 2008 Author Posted May 2, 2008 lol thank you very much LBH. I love fishing in the northeast, the competition is great. Its hard to get lucky because you have to have a solid pattern. Quote
Super User Tin Posted May 3, 2008 Super User Posted May 3, 2008 lol thank you very much LBH. I love fishing in the northeast, the competition is great. Its hard to get lucky because you have to have a solid pattern. And those solid patterns you get on for a couple days change and then the day of the tourney you waste a couple hours sticking to it and believing they are still there. By 11 you scrap it and have to get on something else with only 4 hours left. : Quote
Bassnbrett101 Posted May 4, 2008 Author Posted May 4, 2008 lol yeah those days suck. I can't lie Quote
