Super User Micro Posted October 22, 2008 Super User Posted October 22, 2008 How do these stack up as wake baits? Anyone ever use them?? http://www.***.com/descpageHDTLUCKYHDCLUCKY-LCBF.html Quote
Super User Raul Posted October 22, 2008 Super User Posted October 22, 2008 I have it, can 't give any positive nor negative comments on it cuz ........ I 've only tried it once to see how it moved, not really fished with it in depth, it moves cool, makes a good wake but that 's about what I can say, been busy ketchin ' them with Daiwa 's Dead or Alive. riverfisher Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Whoa!! $25.00 bones my luck id buy it, first cast a northern or tiger musky would eat it!!! Quote
Primus Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Like Raul I bought one and have thrown it a little to see what it looked like, since I just got it a couple of weeks ago I haven't fished it hard as I project this to be a good stained water bait to use in the summer. I've been a huge fan of the Excalibur Wake Crank and this seems like an oversized version of that type of bait or this bait might be thought as LC's answer to the Dep's Buzzjet. Since we're in the fall season in Michigan and in 6-8 weeks I'll probably be looking at ice I have a feeling it won't see any action till next summer. Quote
Super User Micro Posted October 23, 2008 Author Super User Posted October 23, 2008 I've really enjoyed fishing wakebaits this year. I've collected quite a few and am looking forward to using them even more next season. I think I'll get a couple and see for myself how they perform. Quote
fathom Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 don't forget the roumba's. nothing like the bullfish but, a lotta fun in the world of wakebaits. Quote
Super User Micro Posted October 23, 2008 Author Super User Posted October 23, 2008 Already got a bunch of Roumbas. Love 'em! Quote
Super User T-rig Posted October 23, 2008 Super User Posted October 23, 2008 I also have one and like some of the other guys only used once or twice. I love my gan graft osa's 115 too much. The bull seems to work. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted October 23, 2008 Super User Posted October 23, 2008 Trig, what is that bait in the second pic? I see it has a jointed body, but thats about all I can tell from the pic. Also, where did that Lucky Craft in the first pic come from? I dont see that color offered at the sites I visit. Thanks. Quote
Super User T-rig Posted October 23, 2008 Super User Posted October 23, 2008 I believe the color is called Aluminium CF ghost gill. http://ichibantackle.com/showproductdetail.asp?productid=962&name=BULL&manufacturename=LUCKY%20CRAFT The bait in the second pic is a gan craft osa 115. http://ichibantackle.com/showproductdetail.asp?productid=2609&name=OSA%20115&manufacturename=GAN%20CRAFT Even small bass don't hesitate to hit this lure. Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted October 23, 2008 Super User Posted October 23, 2008 Does that thing have a tail? Cant tell from the pics... Quote
Super User Raul Posted October 23, 2008 Super User Posted October 23, 2008 Even small bass don't hesitate to hit this lure. That 's what I 've ben saying my buddies about the Dead or Alive and the reason why my other big baits haven 't seen much action, what for ? I 'vee been slamming them with the Daiwa now that I 'm back into activity. Quote
Super User Raul Posted October 23, 2008 Super User Posted October 23, 2008 Does that thing have a tail? Cant tell from the pics... Not exactly a tail per se, it comes with an interchangeable prop/blade.tail. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted October 23, 2008 Super User Posted October 23, 2008 What about that Gan Craft? Seems like the back end is just a nub, not really a "tail"... Quote
Super User T-rig Posted October 23, 2008 Super User Posted October 23, 2008 The osa hast a little hard tail that wiggles on retrieve. Here a pic, below a LC clutch for comparison. Quote
mattm Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 T-rig I haven't had any luck with my OSA yet. Do you always fish them with the snap. I haven't fished it a lot. Quote
Super User T-rig Posted October 26, 2008 Super User Posted October 26, 2008 Yes, I always use a snap. Topwater season is done over here but in texas I'm sure you still can catch them with the osa. Just keep at it! I caught most of my fish this summer with the osa and buzzjet. Quote
