fishizzle Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Any and all Never fished them but as you know they all have the potential. You can go to any one and be thrilled or disappointed--thats just fishing So my suggestion is go to the place with the best guides or the place where you have the most info about. See if someone from the site who has been fishing these lakes for years is willing to set you up so you have the best chance of being thrilled. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 31, 2008 Super User Posted March 31, 2008 One of my "Dream Trips" would be fishing Stick Marsh/ Farm 13 with George Welcome. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1206177779 8-) Quote
jrhennecke Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 End of April - early May would be a great time to fish Clearlake and the Delta. Big fish and numbers. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted March 31, 2008 Super User Posted March 31, 2008 I wouldn't change anything on that list. Amistad would definitely be first. Quote
Tpayneful Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 George who runs the Stick Marsh Bait and Tackle told me that he prefers the fishing in April and May on Stick Marsh / Farm 13 as opposed to February and March. I just got back from a trip there and it was THE BEST place that I have ever fished. It is definitely the best place to fish in Florida! A friend gave me an on the water tour so I could navigate the first day but I fished the next 3 by myself. I caught my PB and a bunch of 4-5lb fish. It is the only place in Florida that I have fished and want to go back and fish again. I cannot comment on the others because I have not fished them yet. Quote
bighed Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 I don't know if you are dragging a boat down but if you are how about this: Hit Fork a couple days, pull to Choke Canyon and fish a couple days, next to Falcon and or Amistad. That's a dream trip in just about anybodys book. The Cali lakes sound good too. Quote
George Welcome Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 "George who runs the Stick Marsh Bait and Tackle told me that he prefers the fishing in April and May on Stick Marsh / Farm 13 as opposed to February and March. " Just a slight correction: I don't run Stick Marsh Bait and Tackle - Imagination Bassin Guide Services is my company. Top water time is coming very soon and will last through the two months and more. Quote
ba7ss3in Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Just reading that list makes me want to Which ever one, please enjoy. *** Quote
