Dude thats a new Fl record.  The qualifying weight is 35 lbs and there is not an "official" record holder...check this out... http://myfwc.com/fishing/record.html

I caught it on a good sized chunk of bread wrapped around a 1/0 worm hook. I don't know if they have records for these fish (Grass carp / white amur) because it is against the law to take them out their habitat. They are stocked into the water systems to control the vegitation. Therefore probably not recognized as a florida record eligable fish. And I have seen even bigger ones swimming around out there. (imagine that)

Here's another one I caught about 35lbs or so.

This one didn't really jump he would kinda stroll in then see me or the shore and take off and just rip drag like no tommorrow, that process repeated for about 7 or 8 min. till he tired out and kind of just laid there for me to pick up for a pic, then he swam off slow after the release.

I live in Wellington, and as you do, fish in the western areas quite a bit.  Royal Palm and the surrounding areas.

Here's another fish that I go after quite often......

Nice fish, I've seen some huge fish here in one of the lakes but never fish for them. Sometimes when you spook one that's floating near the surface, it will run into the side of your boat. It's pretty funny.

That is SOOOO COOOL !  :-) I always wanted to catch 1 of those ! They look like giant Florida Bonefish..... except Gold instead of Silver :-)

The body shape looks so much sleeker, and stronger than European Carp (another great sportfish) too.

I'm really envious,

Great catch !

Congrats,

Fish
