Bud Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Sunshine and 28 degree when I left the dock about 11AM. Within 10 minutes after leaving dock found them on a west gravel bank feeding abou 6 foot deep. All they would hit was a bone LC Jerk bait fished slow with a 5 to 10 sec pause. Ended the day with a 22 Lb striped bass, 16 LM smallest 2 pound with the largest 4.15 pounds. Also one 14 pound drum all in all a great day Quote
Under the Radar Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Congrats Bud. Those are some nice fish. Way to go. Quote
Super User David P Posted January 24, 2008 Super User Posted January 24, 2008 Sounds like an awesome day, a 22lb striper alone would make one hell of a day. Quote
JUST Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Nice job Man. Bet the striper was a fun fight. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted January 24, 2008 Super User Posted January 24, 2008 Fishing in the cold isn't any fun unless you're catching or at least getting bit. Quote
32251 Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Fishing in the cold isn't any fun unless you're catching or at least getting bit. Sorry but I disagree. I went this morning...39 degrees... no bites...still enjoyed being out and trying. Quote
Bud Posted January 26, 2008 Author Posted January 26, 2008 CJ I was in sledd creek right were we finished the tournament. Never left the area. The biggest kick was catching the striper on a jerk bait with 8 pound test line. Quote
Super User Tin Posted February 1, 2008 Super User Posted February 1, 2008 Thats some great cold water fishing. And it is always fun on the jerkbait. Quote
