Super User T-rig Posted February 1, 2008 Super User Posted February 1, 2008 Cool man ! 8-) Avid, is that a Imakatsu Riprizer jerkbait? Quote
-HAWK- Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Avid, next time you guys are out there in the middle of a feeding frenzy try rigging up a cluster rig. I read about it in this months issue of Bassin. Pretty much consists of a 3 way swivel and 2 lines run about 3 feet with either a jig or whatever is biting. Good for catching 2 bass at a time. Quote
George Welcome Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 That rig would be illegal in the state of Florida for fresh water fishing. Quote
-HAWK- Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Really? I wonder why they consider that illegal here but not elsewhere? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 1, 2008 Super User Posted February 1, 2008 That rig would be illegal in the state of Florida for fresh water fishing. Would that be enforced by the Florida DNR for using two lures or... The Florida Tourist Commission for posting pictures of such small fish? : 8-) Quote
George Welcome Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 "Would that be enforced by the Florida DNR for using two lures or... The Florida Tourist Commission for posting pictures of such small fish?" Yes to the first part - multiple lures on a single line Child abuse comes to mind on the second Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted February 2, 2008 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted February 2, 2008 George, I just read the FWC freshwater fishing guidelines and the FL Statutes and don't find anything that make that rig illegal. It could be considered a trot line maybe, but then it would be illegal only on the weekend in most places. Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 I'm going to place a bet that those weren't caught on the same line, or even by the same fisherman. I'm thinking one of those little bass belongs to Avid... Quote
Guest Steve_P. Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Avid, what happened to the pics of the bigger fish? : RW, I sense a little jealousy due to the fact that we aren't dressed in Winter survival suits like you are in your pic!! ;D ;D George, that hurt. I hate you, man....... ;D ;D Daniel MB, I'm officially changing your name to "Mr. Obvious" I believe the pic was posted because doubles are always cool, no matter the size. Plus, a photo or two makes the report more interesting to read. Quote

Multiple hooks on a single line are considered a trot line, and trot lines have specific rules of marking. Quote
