Every year my younger brother smokes me out on the water. Looks like this year will not be any different. We were able to go out and try'em last Sunday, our first outing of 2008. It was a really ugly day. We had a coldfront come through the night before, and the temps were still dropping. Needless to say the bite was really slow, but we still managed two fish with t-rigged worms in 10' of water fished really slow. Anyway, here are a couple of pics. The guy with the big fish is my brother. The guy that caught the dink is me! And so it begins..

You posted my 6lb+ girl, but you didn't mention the GLoomis BCR203 rod and the Chronarch MG50 reel that I used. The old Culprit does just fine here in S. Georgia.

The worm was a 7.5". Everyone in Goergia has surely used the color, but in this particular pond they love it. We have tried Junebug, pumpkin, tequilla, etc. We always come back to Red Shad for some reason. This hole is one of our turn to places for a sure thing. If the weather is awful or we want a quick trip this pond always produces. Actually this was our first bass fishing trip to this pond during January. I bet we're bak there in the same spot in 2009.
