If I am going on asthetics alone, I would also say Lucky Craft.  I like they appearance of all their lures.

I have one Lucky Craft lure, a Pointer 78 in Nishiki.  I have never thrown it in the water once yet.  In fact I had a heck of a time just taking it out of the package.  ;D

For quality and consistancy I prefer companies that could be classified as "home based".

I find that the smaller companies such as Whittlers crankbaits, Bass Hunters custom crankbaits, Cache Custom lures, Brovarney baits, and B & L Baits have great quality lures and plastics.  Better than alot of "big name" companies.

I think that can be attributed to the fact that they only make so many lures at once, so quality control is better than some of the national brand lures.

Just my 2cents though.

I think Rapala is my favorite hard baits.

I don't have one favorite plastic company.  My favorite plastic lures include Culprit worms, Yamamoto lures,  Tikki Sticks, and Yum Crawbugs.

I really don't have a favorite company, because I choose different lures for different jobs.

Based on the sheer number of different lures made by the same company, it's definitely Zoom.

(e.g. super fluke, horny toad, big critter craw, trick worm, I could go on).
