Super User Bassn Blvd Posted January 21, 2008 Super User Posted January 21, 2008 It was 62 when I went out this evening. The wind had to be at least 20mph out of the north. I like to froze to death but I stuck it out for about 45 minutes and was able to pull out three small ones. The bite was on but the wind was a pain in the donkey. I found a spot out of the wind but not many fish, figures. Quote

Huddles were to expensive to keep wasting them on the dink's. It was 83 yesterday and 62 today. BRRRRRRRRRR cold here in Florida. Quote

Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Thanks BB, nice to see someone still cares about us ice bound folk Quote
Blue Eyed Fisher Chick Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I wish it was 62 out here today. I could be fishing if it was, can't take the little one in this cold. Nice Catch! Quote
Troutfisher Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Try fishing in some single digits...that's what I fished in for trout the other day. Quote
Cade Laufenberg Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 its refreshing to be above zero isn't it??? 6-8 degrees today was easier breathing than waking up to -22 yesterday... Hard to believe that you're freezing in 80 degrees warmer weather than me! lol.. nice job catching some anyway, gotta love the open water! Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 22, 2008 Super User Posted January 22, 2008 Too cold and too dangerous to go out in the greater Richmond, Virginia area. Hyperthermia is something you don't fool around with, no matter your age or experience. It is going to be cold in our area for the rest of the week. I guess we will start seeing ice form on the ponds, lakes and river banks again. Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Try fishing in some single digits...that's what I fished in for trout the other day. Went trout fishing Sunday with wind chill around zero. Had to give up after I couldn't feel my feelings anymore. I was admiring one of my trout until his eye started freezing over right in front of me, so I quickly put him back in. It was crazy. Bassin Blvd - I know how you feel. When I lived in Miami the smoke started to come out of the chimneys in my neighborhood around the 65 degree mark ;D In ten years there the coldest morning I experienced was 40 degrees, and that was a huge deal. Now 40 is t-shirt weather ;D Quote
basspro48 Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Nice catchin dude, was that at Osborne? Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted January 27, 2008 Author Super User Posted January 27, 2008 Nice catchin dude, was that at Osborne? No, not Osborne. I caught them in a development lake around Lantana and the T-pike. Quote
