Super User Chris at Tech Posted January 15, 2008 Super User Posted January 15, 2008 Do I get the credit for fish landed from my boat? No? Crap This is how my buddy broke in his brand new Curado/Crucial combo I helped him pick out a few weeks ago. I think it can be considered properly broken in. Hehe. She went 8-7, and was released to fight another day (hopefully when I take my swimbaits down there in a month or so). Quote
slomoe Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 wowzers. It almost looks photoshopped. Nice Fish. Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted January 15, 2008 Super User Posted January 15, 2008 Well, you already know that's a great fish, but that pic looks more like 18-7! 8-) Quote

Super User .dsaavedra. Posted January 16, 2008 Super User Posted January 16, 2008 wow what an amazing fish!!! thats really great. i think since its held way out it looks much bigger than 8-7. but jeez if i caught a fish that big i'd be showin it off too! but it does look bigger than 8-7 even it its not held out. looks huge! very huge head and plenty fat! ;D Quote
Super User Chris at Tech Posted January 16, 2008 Author Super User Posted January 16, 2008 Well I can say with 100% certainty that is was NOT Photoshopped. I held the previous 'record' on this private pond so it killed me to have to pass the torch onto this guy. Hehe. Then again, it is his family's pond so I have to be nice As far as it being bigger. What can I say, he's a fisherman! The full arm extension towards the camera is only natural Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted January 16, 2008 Super User Posted January 16, 2008 If you would have said that fish went 12 lbs. I would have believed it. That's a pig! Great picture too BTW. 8-) Quote
LCpointerKILLA Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 wow, that is a mogan! Your buddy has got you beat!! Quote
Terry_ Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 That's an awsome friend to let you watch him catch a fish like that!! LOL Congrats on a great day guys! Quote
eastkybass Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 That was an absolute monster. Wait till about a month when she gets completely full of eggs. Quote
Guest avid Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 WOW!!! HOw cool is that, but here's a tip from Avid's famous fish foto school and outpatient clinic. If your buddy would have held the fish with his left just BEHIND the belly instead of directly over it, the full effect of the bass' gut would have been emphasized. This is known as the "full belly experience" Your welcome Quote
