Guest avid Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 It was a lovely day here on Florida's historic treasure coast. Perhaps a tad warm, but 80* and a gentle breeze makes for a nice afternoon on the water. We caught 15. No size to speak of, which surprised me. The bass should be staging for the spawn, but guess what? they are still on summer patterns. We saw no beds at all and none of the fast moving hard baits could buy a strike. Steve's Zoom vibra tail, and Avids sluggo were the looorz da jourz. Notice Steve trying to make a dink into Moby Dick. All in fun of course. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 10, 2008 Super User Posted January 10, 2008 Nice fish...This time of year in New England! : 8-) Quote
Guest Steve_P. Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 I was disappointed. :'( ALL of those houses on that lake and not even ONE hot chick lieing out in a bikini : Oh well, at least Long Mike can bask in glory for a short time. For once, we didn't get a pic of one bigger than his Avatar pic. Quote
paul. Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 sounds like a great trip y'all. of course you realize if they're on summer pattern now, you'll have to go through fall and winter pattern before you can catch spawners. that should take what? 5 days? ::)good job y'all. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted January 12, 2008 Super User Posted January 12, 2008 Steve, looks can be deceiving. The bass in my avatar weighed fifteen pounds. Unlike Avid some folks, I was holding the fish close to my body in order not to distort its size. That, coupled with the fact that I am a large individual , makes my trophy look smaller that it really was. Would I lie? Quote
Guest muddy Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Looks like a great day to me! It's frekin snowin here ;D Quote
