Evan Pease Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 Went to the same lake again but didnt do very good. I only caught two bass, a 13 and 16 incher. I missed a biggy on the jig in one of my hotspots and had another one slam my rapala beside the boat. I had a jointed Parrot shadrap on my new Zillion 100HA. The bass looked to be at least 4lbs which would have made a nice first fish on a new reel. I guess the new reel curse stands true lol. Even though I didnt catch much I enjoyed the trip a lot and I found another place that holds bass. I think this trip deserved some better fish since my grandpa and I had to drag the boat 50 feet to get it in the water because it was too muddy for the truck to go >. Worse yet we had to drag it uphill to get it in the trailer again... Quote
M_Fields. Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 Peasey, Did not sound so Blaahhh to me. A day on the water your Grand dad, priceless to me. There are times that I go and do not catch fish, I just enjoy being out. You also found new water that has fish . M_Fields Quote
Evan Pease Posted December 30, 2007 Author Posted December 30, 2007 I know any day on the water is good, especially with with my grandpa its just a lot better if we both catch fish. I would have much rather had him catch my two dinks and more. Ive got to get him to use a b/c too : Quote

Super User burleytog Posted January 1, 2008 Super User Posted January 1, 2008 I'm surprised the lake is down that much. I need to head down that way and get my permit for next year. Quote
Evan Pease Posted January 3, 2008 Author Posted January 3, 2008 I need to take a pic of where the original water level was. The back end is completely dry Quote
Terry_ Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 Hang in there dude! Them two big girls you missed will be on the bed this spring, and you can take another wack at'em! Quote
