Guest avid Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 It hit 84 degrees today. I was able to get out for a couple of hours. Caught a few keepers. Best fish was about a pound and a half on an original zara spook. No pics. I did take a couple, but they weren't up to my usual standards. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted December 30, 2007 Super User Posted December 30, 2007 Avid, you like to kick puppies, don't you? Quote
Guest Steve_P. Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Avid, it only felt like 82 degrees today. Are you sure it was 84? Either way, it WAS kind of hot. We are supposed to get a really BAD cold front after New Years. Heard it's ONLY going to be in the 60's. Time to get out the winter survival suits. Quote

Under the Radar Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 You're right Avid, it was hot. At least we had a nice breeze going over here and the cloud cover actually made it pretty comfortable. Fished the winter park chain the last few days and couldn't really get anything goin to speak of kinda like your day today . Did a lot better over near the Conway chain today. Oh! and I got my first Pickerel today and yes I retied immediately. Definitely sounds like the shoulder has healed pretty well. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted December 30, 2007 Super User Posted December 30, 2007 Yep. Been real slow. I can only find the small ones using real lite tackle and fishing slowwwwwwwwwwwww. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted December 30, 2007 Super User Posted December 30, 2007 I hate you guys that live in Florida, eight more weeks until I hit the water and even then the high will only be in the 50's. Can I move in with one of ya'll? Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 30, 2007 Super User Posted December 30, 2007 Its way too hot to fish in Florida. Fish gone north for the winter. No reason to go out on the water anymore. Try fishing for redfish. But keep those posts and pics coming!!!!!! Quote

Low_Budget_Hooker Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 Great job as always Avid. I won't bust your chops about the weather because I actually feel bad for those of you that aren't looking at freshly fallen snow with the aroma of hot chocolate coming from the kitchen mixed with the robust smells of the wood stove. The grass is always greener so appreciate the grass you got!! (wait, that didn't sound right....lol) 8-) ps- Avid- many are awaiting your "Mook of the yr" speech in "everything else" Quote
