Super User David P Posted October 16, 2007 Super User Posted October 16, 2007 Got to fish my new hand tied jigs that I made. It rained the better part of the day, but was it fun. Fishing in the rain is my new favorite! Thanks LBH for the help. I've got some BAD Bass Palm from the 5lber, he bit down hard on my hand right as I was going to release him. Biggest of the day 5lbs on the dot: Few others ranging from 1 1/2lbs - 2 1/2lbs: Quote

Dude, I don't have the patience to throw a swimbait. That game plan was out the window after the first 5 casts. No confidence in that bait and don't have a rod rated for over 1 1/2oz so it didn't work too well ;D I've never seen a craw in there once in my life, yet I still catch some jig fish. Mhmm, they must be out there. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted October 16, 2007 Super User Posted October 16, 2007 Nice fish BJ. Good pics too!! Quote

This lady must have been heavily chompin on some craws then. I had never felt something like that happen. That 7lber from clear lake chomped down and it didn't feel like anything at all. This gal chomped down and I sure felt it. I'm gonna get a swimbait rod by spring time. Quote
deepsessions Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 ;D I got chomped by that good fish over the weekend...she must of been sick of the photo shoot I put on either that or she was ready to go chase some more tail! Quote

Super User T-rig Posted October 16, 2007 Super User Posted October 16, 2007 You finally broke the curse! Congrats! Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Way to tough it out BJ. Fishing in the rain is just a blast. Having a high quality jacket like that doesn't hurt the comfort level either!! I hope we have made a "foul weather fisherman" out of you! Quote
Jake. Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Nice Bass! Jigs are the bomb for big fish. Quote
Super User David P Posted October 17, 2007 Author Super User Posted October 17, 2007 Quote You finally broke the curse! Congrats! I know, right!? I really thought I was going to pull a 6lber at the delta. The last 3 hours of that trip, I kept saying, "Come on David, T-Rig predicted a 6lb fish, that means you are going to catch one, for sure". Didn't turn out that way. But I'll take a 5lber and bass palm any day. Quote
Lightninrod Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Excellent catchin' BJ! That's the way to 'stick' 'em! Dan Quote
