bubbler Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 Wherd do i use a shaky head, Is it a good spring bait. Thanks for the help!!! Quote
wvubassfan Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 I don't think there is a wrong time to use it. I have caught fish year round with this. Quote
Guest Texas_Bass_Pro Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 I have lots of luck with it in the cold weather when fishing seems to be tough. I also use it during spring, SUMMER, and fall. But I use it the most in the heat of summer and in the coldest time of winter. Just experiment with it. Quote
LakeAnnaBasser Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 i was wondering the same thing. are they better in deep or shallow. Are they good bruch pile baits. Quote
Gorgebassman Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 I have one tied on one of my rods year around and have never found a time of year they didnt work. My favorite way to fish them actually is as the weight on a drop shot rig I usually put a shakey head with a trick worm or finesse worm or a beast and than rig a tiki worm or a 3x zero wacky style on the top hook. You can fish them in both shallow and deep water. And even around brush piles but aren't really made for that unless you have a weed guard. I would stick to a clean bottom surface. Quote

Throw a shaky head whenever you know bass are there, but can't get them to bite regular presentations. If they are in brushpiles, use slightly heavier line. Worry about getting them in the boat after you get them to bite. I have caught alot of fish that way. Quote
Triton21 Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 I intend to try them this year. I have pored some jigs just for this. Quote
