w3004622 Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 I caught this largemouth a few months back on Bone Lake near my home in Minnesota. I didn't have a scale or tape measurer handy at the time. I was wondering if anyone could give me a weight estimate. Thank you. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 28, 2007 Super User Posted September 28, 2007 Welcome aboard! Take a few minutes to look around the site. There are various sections for all topics. Regarding the weight of your fish, in the future if you will just measure the length I can give you a ballpark number. If you measure the length and girth, you can punch the numbers into the BassResource.com calculator (on top, in the "Tacklebox"). The calculation is a VERY close estimate. It is hard to judge a fish in a picture, they are often lighter or heavier than they appear. I would say: either side of 4 lbs, but it is almost exactly what most people that don't weigh their fish consider "a little better than 5." Quote
mattm Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 I would guess you caught a nice 4 lber, but it is very hard to tell by pictures. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted September 28, 2007 Super User Posted September 28, 2007 I was going to say 4lbs too. Quote
Super User T-rig Posted September 28, 2007 Super User Posted September 28, 2007 3.5-4lbs.. Nice Fish! Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted September 28, 2007 Super User Posted September 28, 2007 first thing that came to my mind was 4lb. glad to see everone else agrees. Quote
FivePoundBluegill Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Maybe a little bit less than 4 lbs...probably very high 3s. Great fish Quote
Jake. Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 You didn't have a scale, so that fish easily pushes 7 pounds. Quote
Lightninrod Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I'm guessing 3 lbs. Very nice Bass! Dan Quote
