Mattlures Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 But I also caught one big one that I estimate around 150lbs. We tried to weigh the small ones but they bottomed out the 50lb scale and they were only about half way out of the water so I guestimate them at around 75lbs Quote
Super User T-rig Posted August 27, 2007 Super User Posted August 27, 2007 Cool! What do you guys do with those stingrays? Quote
Lightninrod Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Matt: Have you lost(compared to your avatar) weight? Scary looking 'fish' . Dan Quote
Infidel. Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Way to go Matt. That has to be the biggest Bat Ray I have ever seen! Good looking Calico too! Quote
Mattlures Posted August 28, 2007 Author Posted August 28, 2007 All Rays were released and mostly unharmed except for a couple small gaff holes. They should be fine. No Dan I havenent lost any weight. I have been at around 210-215 for the last ten years except the weight has migrated from my chest and shoulders to my gut :'( Quote
Super User Catt Posted August 28, 2007 Super User Posted August 28, 2007 That's awesome Dude & I would have never thought to use beef jerky as bait Quote
Guest avid Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I once heard that "sea scallops" were cookie cutter cuts from sting ray wings. Quote
