My First Hybrid Outing

Hey guys. Craigaria took me Hybrid fishing for the first time about a week ago and I wanted to share the pics with you guys! I caught 2 that were over 10lbs and caught one of those on a micro rod with 6 lb test. It took me about 15 mins, but I did it! It was so awesome. Can't wait till I get to go back out again. I even caught a large mouth while I was out there!!! Hopefully the pics will show up. This will be my first time inserting pics. Hope you enjoy!!

Thanks...and it did actually take me a good 15-20 mins to get her in!!  She was stripping drag like CRAZY!!!

Thanks!!!  It was quite the experience that's for sure!!! Craig's been mostly Hybrid fishing lately. Or as one of his friends told him he wasnt fishing he was catchin' :-) Its their time of year right now.

Tournament trail...hmmm...now that's an idea. Seriously though...I am not that good, nor do I have time to do that either. Wish I did becuase that would be a lot of fun!!!

Were you using live bait or lures?  If lures, which ones?  I've got a lake with hybrids near me and I have only caught them on live bait.

    Its easy to catch Hybrid fever, they are fun to catch, give you a work out, and pretty tasty also.

We were using live bait. That seems to be what they like best, so why not give them what they want right :-)

And yes Matt it is easy to catch that fever!! They for sure gave me a work out. My poor stomach was so sore from that rod digging in to it all day!! But don't worry...I won't trade it for a good day of Bass fishing for nothing. Just something else to enjoy. I Love catching fish, no matter what they are!!

Nope don't mind at all...that's exactly what that was. My poor tummy was so sore the next day from buring my rod in it trying to get all those fish in!! But that's ok...I dealt with it. That's part of fishing!!!
