RobDar Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 ...I am starting to think I will forget how to fish! If my van does not get back from the mechanic soon ( had to have the heads rebuilt) I am going to be really cranky! Quote
Guest avid Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 The gawd awful heat and humidity has kept me off the lake for weeks. I'll do a little evening bank fishing but that's it. I get my shoulder surgery on Aug 23, so I'll soon be on the DL But I should be back in shape for the cooler, drier, months in October (nice and easy does it) but by November, totally back in the game. God willing and the crick don't rise. Quote
Guest avid Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 shoulder surgery? Yup - don't let anyone tell you that bass fishing is not a contact sport!!!! When I first moved to florida in '05 and semi retired, I bought a rowing canoe specifically for the cardio exercise I would get from rowing. Problem was I was fishing 5or 6 days a week. Ever been out on a lake when a bone fide Florida type thunderstorm blows up outta virtually nowhere? Well, It was happening to me regularly. So between the rowning, casting, and power rowing as "I gotta get the helll outta here RIGHT NOW. I got tendinitis, and bursitis, had arthroscopic surgery and p/t but the coup de gras was the torn rotator cuff. So now It's the scapel. and back to p/t. Heed the wisdon "All things in moderation" Even bass fishing :'( Quote
