Bass XL Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Ok guys. My cousin and I went camping this weekend and there was a small pond nearby. So we fished it all weekend. The pond had hydrilla allllllll over the bottom. Well it was hot all day. My cousin was using a banjo minnow, and tore them up, but this one came on a prop-bait: About the average fish (caught a ton this size) But I cought the biggest, on a XPS popper. I dont know how long it was, or how heavy it was, but it just crushed that popper. here you go: here's another: thanks for looking, Craig ps: sorry about my eyes, i was tired, because it was 6 in the morning Quote
linesider7 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Looks like it was a decent day. I'd take a guess at the weight of the biggun' but just can't be sure. Quote
FivePoundBluegill Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Seems like a great trip. No huge fish caught but you got good numbers of small to average fish. I would consider it a great trip. That big fish was probably just under 3 pounds im guessing from the picture but I am not sure. Quote
FivePoundBluegill Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Actually after looking again id say hes just over 2 pounds. No hard feelings its just that bass is not very fat. Hes one of those long skinny fish. Quote
Bass XL Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 thanks guys! Yeah nothing spectaculair, but it was a fun day. especially because I cought all my fish on topwater. I rather catch one fish on top water, then a ton of fish on anything else. Its just the way I am. And if anyone is wondering about the caution tape in the backround, it was from the night before...they shot off fire works...so no harm done Quote
JayW Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Keep up the good work! It's great to see kids at such a young age taking up Bass fishing. I started Bass fishing when I was 13 yrs old. If my parents hadn't have built a house on a lake, I may never have even started! I've been hooked for 23 yrs now. Quote
