RobDar Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 I just ran into this problem on my own picture gallery... come to find out, alot of people assumed that because the display on their computer was a manageable size that the picture was as well...as an example...people who use the picture/fax viewer from microsoft, canons software that comes with their camera, the freeware Corel software...the picture will display a good size and when it gets saved it seems like it is a good manageable size...after all everytime you open it it seems the right size... but this is just the display properties of the program...these programs automatically size the pictures to fit well on your screen...but do not actually resize the file...a check of the file info/details in some other program will show that the file is STILL huge! There is a good picture program I use that I have found almost everyone finds fairly easy to use. Its interface is pretty similar to programs like Windows Explorer so it feels familiar to alot of folks...and it is free. It is the FastStone Picture viewer. http://www.faststone.org just my two cents Quote
