fishingfrenzy Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 I have officially entered a fishing drought. Every time I go out I either come home fishless or catch a ton of dinks. This month have been tough for me, I just can't seem to really put it together. My biggest 5 fish this month have only been 4.4, 3.7, 3.6, 3.4, 3.2. I hoping that my time will eventually pay off and I'll stick a hog, but only time will tell. Quote
Fish Man Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 those are dinks??..for use we are more han happy if a fish weighs 3,,usually we consider dinks to be under a pound Quote
msmonroe Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 My biggest 5 fish this month have only been 4.4, 3.7, 3.6, 3.4, 3.2. Dinks? So those numbers, those are ounces right? - Matt Quote
BoroBass Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 It all depends on where you're fishing. I'd guess in some bigger lakes the ones you caught would be small where as in my pond anything over 3lbs is pretty good size. Quote
fishingfrenzy Posted June 18, 2007 Author Posted June 18, 2007 I wasnt calling those fish dinks, but I was saying that I've been catching a lot of dinks lately. I've gone out many times and overall, those 5 fish have been my biggest for this month. Yea those fish are probably pretty big compared to what others catch in my area, but I'm not exactly happy with them. Quote
helms83 Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 One day, getting out on the water will be enough to make you happy. Enjoy it while your young, everything changes in the real world. Quote
Valascus Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 Boy, those are pretty fair sized fish that you have on that list for my area. Then again, St. Louis fishing sucks. Obviously your tactics, bait selection, location, etc. are working well. Have you considered using larger sized baits of what you have had the most success on? That would help you eliminate the smaller fish while possibly coaxing larger fish into striking due to the prospect of a larger meal. Quote
