Bassassasin12 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 wow this one has taken forever! It must be in fishchris's boat we all know he can't get any mojo on that thing.... ;D Quote
Vorlin Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 I just read up on Clay, WOW! I'm not sure what his professional situation is but if I were a sponsor I'd be all over him for two reasons. One, no matter how bad the odds are stacked against him this guy finds a way to win! Wouldn't you want to be using what he's using???? Any sponsors who take good care of Clay will enjoy similar word of mouth success... for obvious reasons. We all love the underdog who fights insane odds and comes through. My hat's off to Clay! You've inspired me to keep going on a day when I lost 2 lures, caught no fish and accidently snapped a rod clean in half (yea, it's been one of THOSE days...). Here's to clay and "pass the mojo"! basspro48 Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Well, the wait is over everyone!!!! sorry bout the hold up, it takes quite a while for something to get from washington state to Virginia. Anyway, I had just gotten the charm in the mail about 2 days ago adn yesterday I took it out to the Calvalry Run pond. It was a pretty tough day for that place. My first couple casts with a sammy drew several boils and a couple hits but no fish. Then I switched to a 3/8oz. black.blue persuader jig and on my first pitch to a hole in the pads, WHACK 2 1/2lber. then a few minutes later I nailed 2 more dinks on the jig. After that I kept chunkin fer a few hours, and then on my last cast with a Bandit 100 series in a craw color I tied into a nice little 2lber. then I decided to pitch the jig into the same place the last fish came from BAM another 1lber on. So all in all it was kinda slow but still I got a couple more rubs in First fish of the day. crankbait fish Last fish of the day Quote
BucketmouthAngler13 Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 we should keep track of how many lbs of bass get rubbed on the charm...lol Quote
Troutfisher Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Sheeoooot! Nice fish! The mojo worked! Now send it one state over to West Virginia! Quote

Guys,...please go back and read the starting post in this thread. This has NOTHING to do with bringing the angler mojo. The very act of trying to give someone else good luck often leads to those efforts producing luck for the one who works for the sake of another. Vorlin Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 .... it takes quite a while for something to get from washington state to Virginia.... Now that it's here, bring it on down to Fredericksburg this Sunday and, hopefully, a group of us can take it out wading in the Rappahannock and really fill it up! Anyone interested in this outing can get hooked up on the organizational thread in the Southeast Forum. Wading in 1-4 feet of fast, clear water that's loaded with smallmouth and crappie. Incredible scenery, good fishing and NO BOAT TRAFFIC! (Boats can't get there without being destroyed... well, except the occasional canoe or kayak). Vorlin Quote

Keithscatch Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Hey is that a deer laying down in the background of the last fish picture? If so, how cool is that. Quote
Troutfisher Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 lol....I just noticed that. Wonder if it's real? Quote
Captain Cali Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Great work BassPro48! Can't wait to see where it ends up next! Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted September 26, 2006 Super User Posted September 26, 2006 Swimbait season is about to start! I might not be able to do it, but between my partner and I we could put at least one 5+lb mojo into that mama! I'm game! Quote
Pond-Pro Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 This is a cool idea. Good job everybody. About the deer; I 'm pretty sure that it doesn't look very real at all. Quote
basser89 Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 Well, I was next in line to add a little mojo to the charm. This has been a rough couple of weeks for me but I managed a little Potomac smallie mojo and a couple of pond bass. No big girls, but mojo none the less! The smallie came on a Strike King The Duece buzzbait and the largemouths came on chatterbaits. The charm is on its way to its next stop! Best of luck!!!!! Here are a few picks. Quote
basser89 Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Here's one of the pond bass! Sorry, my other pic was too dark so I wasn't able to make it light enough. Quote

sirmo Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 If thing makes it's way to florida....I'd like to take it fishing. Give it some Florida Bass mojo if it doesn't have any alread. Someone keeping a list? Quote
YankeesWin Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Having it down South for the winter is all for the best. When it comes to next spring's spawn maybe it can just work it's way north!! I know Hawg_Hunter and I both would love to have a chance at pouring a bit of the ol' "Midwest Mojo" into that little charm. send it to Iowa Best of "mojo" to whom ever has it now!! Quote
basser89 Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 It's gone south already? Did I miss something??? :-? Quote
