Corkster52 Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Wouldn't you know it. Drove 150 miles (with a couple of wrong turns) to fish Lake St. Clair today. Got there around 6:30 AM and paddled into the white caps for 90 minutes until the rain started. Worked up a sweat and then took some clothes back to the truck and headed out again. Made about a hundred casts after paddling back into the wind to get away from the shore about a dozen times and then said to heck with it. Looks like a great lake but just the wrong time for a kayaker to take it on. I will be back Maltese Falcon!!! 8-) Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted May 27, 2007 Super User Posted May 27, 2007 It's too bad you didn't come tomorrow (Monday). The weather is supposed to be clear with a light west breeze. Like I told you on the phone, all last week we had similar weather. The only problem now is the water is all stirred up form the winds and rain. Enjoy the holiday, Falcon Quote
Corkster52 Posted May 27, 2007 Author Posted May 27, 2007 Keep me posted on the weather my friend. I ordered $95 worth of goby's online that I hope to use there!!!! Quote
tbone31 Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 I was planning on going there also. Also about 150 miles from my house. Glad I did not go!! Seams like an awesome lake!! Quote
