Super User flechero Posted May 26, 2007 Super User Posted May 26, 2007 I went out in between thunderstorms yesterday afternoon and got into some smallies. This one weighed in at 5.0 on the digital. Not bad considering the Belton lake record is just over 6. She had one jump that was about 4' high out of the water... what a memory! Quote
GeneinTX Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Awesome Fish..... now i am jealous! Was that on the main lake? Quote
Super User flechero Posted May 27, 2007 Author Super User Posted May 27, 2007 Thanks guys! Gene, Just left of the pic is the sportsman's club. (the floating building) We were probably only 50 yards from the fish cleaning dock. We were on the 2nd drop at the mouth of that cove. Quote
SneakySnook Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Nice smallmouth. Wish we had them down here in Florida. Quote
JayW Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Nice! I'd love to catch some big Smallmouth Bass. I just don't see any around here in central Florida. Quote
Guest avid Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Nice smallmouth. Wish we had them down here in Florida. so do I. My absolute favorite fishing trip was to go to the Catskills in NY and wade or bank fish cold, rocky streams and rivers for smallies. My second favorite was to jon boat the lakes with the huge rocky walls for smallies. I miss it. Quote
