Guest the_muddy_man Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Het me and Ron got out on the Chunk yesterday . I was working with that &^$&?! Jig most the day. I had an incredible experice wwith it. I tossed it into 12 feet of water around some boulders and I tried to swim it as LBH explained I fet something weird and said to Ron I do not know if this is finally a fish or not. I set the hook and it's coming in with the slightest reistance til I got it up to the boat it was a very large $@&* PICKEREL who looked up and spit it out STILL SKUNKED FOR THE MAY CHALLANGE Ron was nailing them with the usual plastic worm he loves then he went to a #9 Jointed Rapala and caught HIS ALLTIME PB we did not have a scale I have pictures in my phone, Im going to Cingular this weekend to find out how to get them on the Puter so you can see. Over 5 lbs for sure and was 21 1/4 insches long and fat with eggs. Good way to retire 2 mooks!!!!!! There was a nasty front and some t-storms headed our way today I got out on the Chunk right in front of them: Who else but a crazed BassResource.com member would go out in such choppy water, but no rain or Lightning yet To catch a front bite!!!!!!!!!! 2 Rods and two baggies :A. 7inch watermelon *** Ripple Tail worms B.*** 5inch salty tricks in Blue Gill I had to put the Jig thing down I am missing the whole freaking spawn 8 fish in 1 1/2 hours then the rains came and I heard thunder so off the lake I came Great 2 days 8-) Quote

Triton21 Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Dom, glad you and Ron got out fishing again. Also glad Ron got a new PB. I understand why you laid down the jig but with the front coming in you could have maybe 'killed the skunk'. Kelley Quote
