.Paxamus. Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Hey guys I recently fished a large tourny here in Alabama and got the awesome opportunity to fish with Boyd Duckett. I won a drawing held by the tourny's sponsor, Mark's Outdoors. There were twelve pros there and all of them were extremely nice. I cannot say enough great things about Boyd Duckett, he was just a great guy and I haad a great time fishing with him. I got ffrustrated for a second or two while I was being outfished, but then remembered that he is a PROFESSIONAL and the Classic Champ, so I didn't stay frustrated long. He answered any and all questions that I asked and I saw him sign every autograph that was asked of him and he spoke to every person who stopped him. It was really nice seeing that these guys are just good guys who also like to fish. I am trying to attach a pic from the weigh in. We came in 16th out of 500 boats... Not too bad Here is a pic. I tried to just attach, but can't due to size if anyone has any advice, help and I will just attach. Here is one of the pics Quote
Stringjam Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Very cool! Boyd seems like a very down-to-earth fellow. Quote
.Paxamus. Posted May 16, 2007 Author Posted May 16, 2007 He was very down to earth. Other than the fact that he was outfishing the mess out of me and the fact that nearly every boat that passed came by to talk, you kinda forgot that you were fishing with a Classic champ. There were a twelve pros in all and all were available to talk to and meet, there was Gerald Swindle, Skeet Reese, Aaron Martens, Randy Howell, Mark Menendez, Ken Cook, Jason Quinn and many others. Low_Budget_Hooker Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Randy Howell is a friend of the board, he carried our "mojo" charm with him during the classic, did you get a chance to speak with him? Quote

No I didn't get to talk to him at the Classic, there were a ton of people there. I wanted to talk with him at the tournament, but everyone was around the pros asking for autographs and advice, so I tried not to bother them too much. From what I have heard from others everyone was impressed with the help of the pros. By the way thanks for the help with the pic, I am horrible at this computer image stuff. Quote
