Matt- we do the same with schooling Stripers (saltwater).  The bigger fish sit below all the hustle and bustle, saving energy and feeding on the leftovers of the assault going on above.  Definitely not easy to pass on the first tick, takes discipline but pays off if you can do it. (as your pics illustrate)

count me as another who is anxiously awaiting the shad bait.  i wouldnt be surprised if it dosent become one of the more popular baits you make.

Matt,

Do you have an ETA on the new baits?  They look like they'd be perfect here in TX.   Need someone to field test them in TX?  No?  How about at full price?  ...lol

I'm only patient while ON the water!   ;D

including my salter scale which is pretty big

Matt: Word of caution;  I use to use the very same scale.  Had it for about a year and then one day, it just quit on me;  battery tested OK and a new battery made no difference :-/.  An expensive scale that is yes, accurate but I can't use mine now.....

Dan I would contact the company. Maybe they could fix it for you. I have had mine for a while now and love it. I would definatley be upset if it died

Hey Matt, you really think that bass (third pic from the bottom) was not a teener ? I mean, I know you have seen / caught a lot of big ones, and of course, you saw these fish in person, while I'm just looking at photos....

But still, I have "never" seen a bass which was that pot bellied, and bug-eyed, which "wasn't" a teener !

Like I said, I'd be "on a mission" to stick that one again ! Heck, even aside from these big ones, it wouldn't hurt my feelings too bad, if I went back to a place like that and stuck a bunch of "different" big ones :-)

Peace,

Fish

Dan,

My first Salter died on me too! Of course, that was after I found it at the bottom of my livewell and I really have no idea how long it had been down there!   ::) Company said it would be cheaper to replace than repair so thats what I did.
