a few days ago i went to my local 2-3 acre lake. theres basically no weeds in there yet, but by summer, its impossible to fish with spinners and other lures. i was tossing a senko around, the temp was about 76 the lake was slightly stained. i fished for an hour or so and then gave up, i managed to catch a 9" bass lol. today i got out to the same lake, temp was around 67 or so, same conditions, slightly windy. i was mainly going for trout. i tied on a glass minnow 2.5" husky jerk and managed to catch 30 bass in an hour/half!!!!!! this is more then i caught all of last year!. these fish were not big at all 5-10" but i did get a nice 13". any reason for only cathing smaller ones? in the summer i see monsters crusing the shallows. any tips on cathing those monsters? i still can't believe how i caught so many fish, i almost had a hit every cast

Being that the lake is so small.... It could be pretty young.  Also it could be that there are only small bass in there.  Ive been to places where there were many small bass and only a couple of larger fish.  Sounds like a good time tho.  Nice Job!!!!
