Title pretty much says it all. I made it out after class for a little bit today and I saw a few females I saw cruising the other day move up. Luckily the male that was with this one was very skittish so I got one on one time with her and her alone. She went 6 lbs 8 oz.

BTW- This is my best Lightninrod impression ::). It's tough when your solo and want to set up the camera, tripod, timer, etc as quickly as possible to get her back in the water. :-?

Then upon further inspection when I got home, this is the same fish I caught last year in nearly the same exact location. The big thing that sticks out is its growth/sore on it's tail and then if you look closely the markings are identical. It's a little hard to tell though because the picture from last year sucks. She only put on 8 oz

That's interesting KU, that you caught her in almost the exact same spot!

I guess that's just more evidence that bass are real homebodies.

And she only gained 8 oz in a year! I have a feeling she's a real 'old' gal.

Ya got me young man!  And, I assume you've got the remote in your left hand?  Fishing alone and taking pics can be problematic but it's worth it to be able to see a very nice, BIG Bass!

KU,

Nice fish. I keep hoping that I can catch the one I caught last week again. This time I will have a scale.  It's killing me to not know what she weighed.

Nice fish! That is a pretty strange lump on her tail fin area. It would be hard to mistake that fish once caught.

That's awesome ! :-)

I still don't understand how some people could read stories like this, and not see the logic ? It just doesn't get any more obvious than this !

Congrats on the great catch KU.... again :-)

Peace,

KU, you have to name her now.  We have a 7lbr (last time she was caught anyway) that has some distinctive markings like that tail.  We have caught her maybe 5 times since she was just a 4 lbr.  We didn't see her last year, hopefully she's still around.  Her name is "Dorothy"

So,..What's her name?

I forgot to ask her :-? ;D

Let's see .... She is one of bigger ones out there, she obviously isn't that smart (fell for the same bait in nearly the same location two years in a row), she is promiscuous as it looked like she might have been trying to spawn on two different beds, and she has a growth/sore on her "tail".  Hmmmmm reminds me of a girl I once knew.  I will call her Janelle. ;D ;D
