went out today at quarter after 4, it had rained almost till noon an the water was dirtier than i have ever seen it.without lying i could barely see the bottom when their was less than 6 inches of water at the shoreand i was using a 3/8 booyah boogie bait an had a fish destroy my lure.i didnt get a chance to set the hook an he ran into the deeper water almost takin my pole with him. he then broke water an threw the lure.about 10-15 casts later i had a big hit an a fish that fought pretty well on the other end .she ended up being 2.8 pounds. a while later after not getting much action i was pitchin the lure up near a tree that was down in the water.i went up close an saw a fish breakin water by a large limb.we tryed gettin her but she had lockjaw.after my uncle gave up an started casting to another area i pitched my lure in an let it fall.i let it sit for a fraction of a second an then began reeling.i felt i light tug but it was just a small branch.then about one crank later my lure stopped dead in it tracks an i had a fairly large fish on.for being right at the boat we she hit she put up one heck of a fight an weighed in at 3 pounds flat.after that i caught a little dink an that was all until we had to leave early because of a nasty thunderstorm

2 an a half pounds, sorry its not a great pic...the stupid scale wouldnt turn around to get a nice side shot of her
