Super User Jimzee Posted April 11, 2007 Super User Posted April 11, 2007 In my Billy Bob Thornton voice, "I like the way you talk." ;D Man that's crazy ice fishing! Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted April 11, 2007 Author Posted April 11, 2007 Seeing that makes me glad im in Florida!!! but....least you dont have worries to keep the beer cold! lol,...there's a "no booze" rule on my boat (especially with 36 degree water),...you'd never know it, eh? lmao Quote
Gotta Love It Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 That looks cold!!! Can't wait to see the video Quote
Zel Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 No need for alcohol in the boat, you guys must have hit the bottle plenty ahead of time to go out in that stuff especially without wearing a lifejacket. You're all nutz in New England! I cancelled our trip Saturday because my hands got numb just getting the boat ready (I know wimp). Quote
Claude Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Very cool dude, but I wonder, would it have been quicker raising the motor and using the boat as a sled, hmmm... Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 maybe if it had skate blades under it but boats don't slide on ice like you'd think. Besides,...good fishing should be earned. (it paid off later in the day ) Quote
RecMar8541 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 "no booze in the boat rule" Now as a retired marine our rule is overcome and adapt. Having said that I would not bring booze in your boat, i would tie it up with a stringer and drag it along behind, and use a very long straw....I mean that would be the mookified way of dealing with this scenario!!! The only thing more nuts than fishing in that poop is knowing you have a buddy who is down enough to be talked into such insanity.....KUDOS to you both and Good Luck!! Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted April 12, 2007 Super User Posted April 12, 2007 . Besides,...good fishing should be earned. (it paid off later in the day ) It's pretty crazy how much that happens. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 It's the gods,KU,...the gods are always watching.... (not a religious thread,lol) Quote
jomatty Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 tell us about your day, sounds like you caught em, which is impressive to me because i have a tough time in water that cold. what did you catch em on and any other details would be awesome? Quote

Super User RoLo Posted April 14, 2007 Super User Posted April 14, 2007 Careful there...if you break-up all the ice flows, there'll be nothing left to support your Tip-ups Roger Quote
Vyron Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 LOL cant wait 2 c the video sharon stone must have taken lessons from u guys on how 2 brake the ice in the basic instinct Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted April 14, 2007 Super User Posted April 14, 2007 It's the gods,KU,...the gods are always watching.... (not a religious thread, lol) It almost gets to the point sometimes where if you have an "uneventful" time getting to the lake, it's just not worth it. They ain't biting. ;D ;D But that day you really have to work to get there ..... watch out Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted April 14, 2007 Author Posted April 14, 2007 jomatty- sorry, hence the word "teaser",lol. Nothing crazy, we were pretty pumped to have caught at all but there were 2 in the boat that day, credit going to the new secret jighead /finesse worm combo that stratosdadri hooked me up with at the CAST tourny. Other than that....ya gotta wait for the video. KU- Man,...are we on the same page,...bigtime. I'm a believer in "earning" them too. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted April 14, 2007 Super User Posted April 14, 2007 I swear LBH, either you guys are dumber than a box of rocks or you have the fishing "Jones" worse than anyone I've ever seen. :-/ Quote
