I took a buddy of mine out today for little site fishing. We only caught 3 apeice but 4 of them were on the spotremover, just the way you taught me.  The other 2 were on jigs, 1 white and 1 greenish/yellow color(i don't know, really) .

We probably could of caught more if i knew how to fish, but in a rentl boat no trolling motor or sonar, it was find the fish with polarized lenses and bashem till they hit.

Some how my buddy got a little 1.5lber to take a whole bubble gum trickworm on a spot remover. i told him 3 time to cut it in half and he just kept pitching it back in to the bed.

We didn't find a single female ON a bed, quite a few around but none actually on one. which sucked because there were some big girls out today.

One of the local tackleshop owners was fishing today and he had 3 fish over 5lbs and 2 over 3lbs, plus his share of dinks.

He was T-rigging and drop shotting drop offs in 20'+ of water.  man electronics must be nice.  I wish i could go back Saturdat but i work all day and can get off.  There are a few beds i would love to return to.

PS big fish was 2lbs 8 ozs -- tied for my PB!

Great job Dave.  I have a funny feeling that your new pb is gonna be your current pb x 5!!  Your bound to catch a 10lber and I wouldn't be surprised if you get it before the year ends.

Keep catchin them up

can you post a pic of the rig.

I'd like to see it if it ain't too much trouble.

here is the set up

the peices:

spotremoverandcrawbug.jpg

the base of the crawbug gets pushed onto the peg of the jighead. then you put the hook point insde the open end of the crawbug.

after that you skin hook the point on the top side of the crawbug.

side view:(bad picture)

And this is what it looks like in the water..minus the water of course ;)

Any Questions?

Right on Tenka!!!!!! That is awesome. What a treat to hear that something I showed someone helped them catch fish.

Congrats,

Outstanding pix.

I figured it would look pretty cool, but your rig is awesome.

I have those spot remover jig heads and have mixed results with them.

They have worked, but they pick up weeds easier than a shakey head or plain t-rig.

but I never used em with a craw.

not yet  ;)
