Bassassasin12 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Went to the Harrisburg, PA, BPS or the first time. That place is awesome. I have always done business with them online but this is the first time I have seen one in person and it was like heaven. I spent the quickest 40 dollars I have ever spent. If I lived near that place I would be completely broke! My favorite part was their freshwater tank. They had a couple 3-4 pound bass in there and then like a 40-50 pound catfish. P.S. Muddy I was thinking about the muddy saga the whole time I was in PA Quote
bighed Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I'm glad that the two BPS stores here are a 45 minute drive away. Keeps me from going every day. Kind of like having a casino next door to a gambler, lol. Quote
Bassassasin12 Posted April 7, 2007 Author Posted April 7, 2007 lol i know. It was about a 4 hr drive to this one and the other one in NY from me is about 2 hrs so I have never gotten to go, but we were in the area and decided to stop by! Quote
Super User burleytog Posted April 8, 2007 Super User Posted April 8, 2007 I've been to 8 and would love to know just how much I've spent at all of them total. I'd probably get sick if I had that number. :'( Quote
RWHusker. Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 We have a BPS and a Cabela's. I feel like Norm at Cheers when I walk in. GO BIG RED Quote
Pa Angler Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Cabela's fish tank in Hamburg, PA got the BPS tank in Harrisburg, PA beat hands down it's not even close so if your ever near Hamburg, PA stop in. Keep in mind the the thick glass for the tanks acts like a magnifying glass everything inside will appear bigger to those looking from the outside. You got away only spending $40? How did you keep the Bait Monkey at bay? Quote
Super User Sam Posted April 10, 2007 Super User Posted April 10, 2007 Glad you had fun at your BPS. It is an adventure and a lot of fun to visit the store. They have some great discounted stuff for Christmas and even my wife likes to go and get things for the family and friends for Christmas. In Richmond, both BPS and Gander Mountain have plans to build new stores. The Richmond-Times Dispatch reported that Cabella's is also considering Richmond as a site for one of their new stores. A guy could have a nervous breakdown with all three stores in his area. Which one to go to first? Who has the best sale? Decisions, decisions and decisions! Quote
