After last week's trip I wasn't to concerned about looking for big fish. ( If any of you mudda "forkers" missed it, its on page 2 by now)

Saturday my buddy and I took my boat out and had a great day on the water. Beatiful mid seventies temps, bluebird skies, and biting fish.

I put 36 in the boat and he landed 17. Nothing big, all between 1.5-2.75lbs. It was just a whole bunch of fun. I lost a bunch of fish and missed some bites, but we had a ball.

I had today (monday) off so we decided to go back and do it again! My girlfriend decided she wanted to go, despite having strep throat...yeah...she's hardcore! The three of us got a late start after I hit the snooze a few to many times. By the time we got to the lake it was already 9ish. Got in the water and went straight for the productive water of saturday. I had a fish within two minutes, then another, and another, and another. We all got some fiesty little keepers under out belts and decided to go look for big fish.

We found em.

This one was a bit of a challenge to get in the net. My buddy ended up soaking wet. Thanks bud!

I weighed her three times to make sure, and the scale read AND held 10lbs 0ozs for at least 5 seconds! Another double digit....barely!!!!! I was stoked. Shaking stoked!

The release, THIS trophy bass WILL NOT be hanging on a wall. She will be killing trout for a long time to come. I hope to see her when she is  "barely" a teener!

We finally got my buddy a good fish after some work. She was SUPER long and sleek and went 6-12. TOO FRIGGIN COOL!!!

The rain came down hard and mean, so we bailed. I'm home, warm, content, and its back to work tomorrow.

I've only seen a couple females on beds at this lake so far. The males are up, but have only seen 3 females in two trips. I don't know what the deal is with his fish. Too big to be a male, and way hollow bellied. I just don't think that she *should* be spawned out if no other females have moved up...I dunno.

Great fish man.

Congrats on another DD.  Love the pic of her swimming away.  For some reason those pics always look cool to me.

Seriously between you, Supermat, and Fish Chris you guys need to stop posting pictures(ok not really but...).  My wife is really getting irritated with me constantly trying to justify to her why we should pack up and move out to Cali.

Thanks guys!!! Today was freaking LONG!!! All I can think about is fishing (even more so than usual)!! I can only hope that there will be more to post, but if it takes a long time, then I'm cool with that too!

As far as the release picture, that is probably my favorite too!

DANG, bizz, that's awesome. We don't grow "em that big around here. Keep putting up the pictures. If I can't catch a 10, the next best thing is to see a fellow BR.commer do it.

Cheers,

GK
