Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted February 11, 2007 Super User Posted February 11, 2007 No Long_Mike won't let me go. He has figured out all the percentages and if I went it throw them all off and he would have to re-do them. ;D ;D Actually haven't given up hope yet, but I still don't see it happening :'( :'(
Super User Long Mike Posted February 12, 2007 Super User Posted February 12, 2007 OOPS :-[ :-[ :-[ I saw KU's post pointing the bass he caught at Fork and made quantum leap that he was making the trip. If I can make that simple of an error, then I should probably go back and check my math.
Guest avid Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Howdy dudes, and dudettes. I have been asked to compile a list of all cell phone #'s of those coming to Lake fork this March. These numbers will NOT be published but each br.comer coming to the fork will receive a copy. Also included on this list will be the numbers of the main lodges, ricky's boat rental and some emergency service numbers (no that does not include the beer distributer) Please PM me your cell # I will get back to everyone when the list is complete. avid
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 12, 2007 Author Posted February 12, 2007 Thanks Avid. This is a list you may want to make a few copies of. Keep one in the boat or tackle box, hence the emergency #'s. Also, remember, if you should have an issue on the water, you'll want those numbers to see if anyone is in the vicinity.
Guest avid Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Side dishes and plastic/paper goods. I know several people has stated that they will be bringing plastic utensils and paper good , plates, bowls, napkins etc. Others have offered to bring side dishes, such as salads, mixed veggies, bread, cornbread, etc. I need to formalize this improtant "incidentals" Those of you planning on bringing a side dish, bread, cake, donuts, salads, etc as well as those of you who will be bringing paper plates, bowls, and plastic utensils PLEASE PM ME> I will add you name and contribution to the official information thread. Please include the quantitiy of goods you are bringing. Or, if a salad for example, which night you will be bringing it for. Y'all get the picture right? Check the calender, folks - The day will be here before you know it. Thanks avid.
Super User Gatorbassman Posted February 13, 2007 Super User Posted February 13, 2007 I have already bought the paper goods. (Boals, Plasticware, Napkins, Plates, and cups) So don't worry about that stuff.
Super User Long Mike Posted February 13, 2007 Super User Posted February 13, 2007 While driving down on the 18th, I'll pick up five loaves each of wheat and white bread. I will also be carrying a minimum of two pounds of REAL Amish butter. If anyone wants more, just say the word.
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 13, 2007 Author Posted February 13, 2007 ok Mike, that makes you the bread and butter of this operation. (somebody had to do it, muddy is sleeping, he works nights, lol)
Guest avid Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Can't have too much bread. What's Amish butter? Is it churned in wooden butter churners? sounds great.
nboucher Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Because I'm flying, bringing large quantities of food along is iffy. However, I'm happy to make a grocery run at Fork for salad stuff and throw a salad together. I'm also planning on bringing a box of cigars for general consumption. Again, because I'm flying, don't count on Cubans, and if the feds are reading this, I'm talking about Cuban music.
Guest avid Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Outstanding!!! Salad with the pasta. soundsa sooooooooooooo nice
Super User Long Mike Posted February 13, 2007 Super User Posted February 13, 2007 Avid, you hit the nail on the head. The butter is made by hand in wooden churns.

Super User Long Mike Posted February 13, 2007 Super User Posted February 13, 2007 Spaghet for me too. If there are no places locally to obtain Italian bread, I can bring it with me also. Isn't Italian bread called Lira?
Super User Gatorbassman Posted February 13, 2007 Super User Posted February 13, 2007 So long as it fits on the end of my fork and slurps up nice then it's OK with me.
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 Worms or tubes, either is fine with me.

Super User Long Mike Posted February 14, 2007 Super User Posted February 14, 2007 FBL, have you already forgotten your commitment? You said that you would buy me a Loomis GLX "just to teach a newbie" the difference between an average rod and a great rod. I really appreciate the offer and can't wait to take you up on it. There is no need to bring anything else to the show. My new rod will suffice nicely, as I plan on showing off your generosity to everyone in the BFR group, I'm sorry, I must have dozed off. What were you saying?
RiskKid. Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Worms or tubes, either is fine with me. Tubes would be better.............the tube part is like rigatoni and the dangly things are like spaghetti so they cover it all......maybe we should send a special order to Gary Yammomoto for some Ronzoni specials
Cigarlover 1 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 So long as it fits on the end of my fork and slurps up nice then it's OK with me. Ditto that!
Troutfisher Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Well, in that case, I'll be sure and ship some live earthworms for you guys to enjoy on your trip.
