Guest avid Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 thanks for the additional lodging info. I'm putting it on the info page. Note: the other two lodges are in Alba. I don't know how far Emery is from "Bass Central"
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted February 6, 2007 Super User Posted February 6, 2007 Emory and Alba are right next to one another. They are the two "towns" the lake sits in.
Guest the_muddy_man Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 OH we thought they were your Aunt and Uncle
Guest avid Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Thanks KU I wouldn't want to list a place and have it bee an hours drive to dinner. Muddyman....................I think his aunt and Uncle are named Giancarlo and Filomena, oh wait................That's YOUR aunt and uncle ;D
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 6, 2007 Author Posted February 6, 2007 Filomena is Portuguese! What is it with you two mixing up Italian and Portuguese? Both are great lovers and cooks but c'mon man!!
Guest the_muddy_man Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Hey LBH not true!!! I dated a girl : Well I went on A DATE with her, her 3 brothers ( none of whom had a neck) came with us SHE WAS BORN IN PALERMO AND HER NAME WAS GELSAMINA FILOMENA VERONICA LEONE, SOUNDS ITALIAN TO ME
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 6, 2007 Author Posted February 6, 2007 Someone in her family took a trip to Portugal and wasn't quite faithful,..what can I tell ya?
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 6, 2007 Author Posted February 6, 2007 I stand corrected, Saint Philomena died in 1805, in Italy.
Guest the_muddy_man Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 TOOK Y0U THAT LONG TO GOOGLE IT TO PROVE YOU WERE RIGHT HUH?
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 6, 2007 Author Posted February 6, 2007 I stand corrected, Saint Philomena died in 1805, in Italy. I just hope it wasn't the meatballs! :-/;D
Guest the_muddy_man Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Nah it was that salt cured cod fish from Portugal
Super User Long Mike Posted February 7, 2007 Super User Posted February 7, 2007 My best guess is that you guys are speaking in some sort of Iberian Peninsula code, keeping us non-pasta eaters from knowing what you are REALLY talking about - perhaps the best fishing locations? Tell me the truth. Meatballs are the best locations, right?
Guest avid Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 I stand corrected, Saint Philomena died in 1805, in Italy. I just hope it wasn't the meatballs! :-/;D You doubted Avid? silly boy.
Super User Long Mike Posted February 7, 2007 Super User Posted February 7, 2007 Scungilli? I thought scungilli was a venereal disease!
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 7, 2007 Author Posted February 7, 2007 scungilli=VD= main lake points..................I don't understand where we are losing you with this Mike, seems easy enough to follow. ;D
Super User Gatorbassman Posted February 7, 2007 Super User Posted February 7, 2007 These must be the textbook signs of Cabin Fever. 39 days Ya'll.
Guest the_muddy_man Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Hey Fluke I am at the point of Cabin Coma
Super User Long Mike Posted February 11, 2007 Super User Posted February 11, 2007 According to the Texas Wildlife Department, the following is a list of Trophy Bass caught at Lake Fork since March 2003. Weight No. of Fish 7 2589 8 1868 9 1031 10 591 11 215 12 98 13 29 14 8 15 3 16 1 All 6433 In round numbers, that's over 4 Trophys every day for the last four years Let's see here, 32 attendees, assume each fish for four days, divide 16 by the squre root of PI, carry the 2, divide by mumble, mumble and the result is that each of us has a 50/50 chance of catching a trophy Of course I've had to make a few minor assumptions such as all of us having equal skill level and that no one else will be fishing the lake but the BFR group, but those are such trivial issues, don't you agree? anyway, I'm pumped! Only 36 more days!
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 11, 2007 Author Posted February 11, 2007 That's only the ones they were told about, or were reported. Think about it,....me, fluke and Tex bass pro are sittin' in Birch cove on a bunch of 8 lbrs, aside from the fact that I am using a cast for kids rod, tex is using his daughters red n yeller rod and fluke is sportin' a snoopy deluxe,....you think we're tellin Texas fish and game?
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted February 11, 2007 Super User Posted February 11, 2007 . Weight No. of Fish 10 591 <--------------- That's one of them
Super User Long Mike Posted February 11, 2007 Super User Posted February 11, 2007 OK, that's it for you, KU. On this trip you are not allowed to catch any more lunkers. Since you are now out of the picture, I have re-calculated the odds for the BFR group. They are now all the way up to 50/50 ;D I retrospect, I'm beginning to think there is something wrong with me math. Perhaps I've made too many assumptions.
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 11, 2007 Author Posted February 11, 2007 Did I miss somthing while I was away? KU coming now?
Super User Gatorbassman Posted February 11, 2007 Super User Posted February 11, 2007 Not that I know of. I think Mike has lost him mind.
Dirk_Jig---Lure Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Boy I wish I could go again this year. I should be there next year though and will probably be bringing my oldest boy,Nathan. I hope you guys have some fun! I can't wait to see the pics and video, even if it kills me,lol.
