Super User Long Mike Posted January 15, 2007 Super User Posted January 15, 2007 Although none of you are aware of it, Ronnie has appointed me as the Official Sausage Slicer for his gumbo. I don't want to mention the word extortion, but unless Ronnie gets everything he requests, I guarantee that the person who lets him down will receive only a few paper-thin slices of sausage in his gumbo. ;D ;D ;D

Bassinfreak2 Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 My work schedule this year is not shaping up like I had planned and unfortunatly I will not be able to go. I have a room reserved at Fishermans Cove so if anyone wants it pm me and I will call them and give them your name. I will wait untill Monday before I cancel.

Triton21 Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Bassinfreak2, I will take the room. I PM'ed you with my name. Let me know when to call and make arrangements. Thanks Kelley
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 Bassinfreak- That is surely a drag, perhaps next year. Bummer ok folks, it looks like another original from the 1st annual is coming!!! Kelley, aka triton21, will be coming along this year. If any of you remember, Kelley made the long journy last year with boat in tow and his best friend Chuck at his side. Sadly, Chuck has passed on this year, and although he was not a member, he was certainly a friend of the board. I would like to commemorate this years trip to a few fallen friends of the board. Kelley's buddy Chuck George Lovins- a friend of basschaser57 (who was on the original trip) who's tackle was left to the youth on our board. May they rest in peace and know that we as fisherman will carry their spirit with us for "one last cast".
Guest the_muddy_man Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Man this is like being a kid and waiting for Christmas!!!!!!!!! This is better than the Met's every other decade run at a world series!
Super User Long Mike Posted January 19, 2007 Super User Posted January 19, 2007 I recived my Lake Fork Topo Map from BPS today. After a close analysis of the structure in the lake, I have narrowed down the places likely to hold lunker bass. There are only 127,523 of them. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

If we could fish for about 12 years, we might cover the best looking fishing holes. Fluke & I spent about an hour on the phone the other night and agreed that we may have to make another trip. LOL Ronnie
Super User flechero Posted January 20, 2007 Super User Posted January 20, 2007 Alpster & Mike.... Just wait, most people think it looks better in person than on the map. ...lol
TravisLovett Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Wow, not to be a later tater but I want in on this! Though I'll just make the drive instead of flying. Flying is for birds after all, and last time I checked Im no bird.

I have so far narrowed my search to 8 places. Of course, if those don't pan out I can always go the following week....I only live about an hour away if that long. ;D :
Guest Texas_Bass_Pro Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Where is everybody going to be staying at. Is it Lake Fork Marina, Lake Fork Resort, or Lake Fork Lodge? What boats ramps are yall going to use?
Guest avid Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Fishermans Cove Marina is home base. Please refer to the sticky "Lake Fork - information only." Many of your questions will be answered. C'mon down y'all. It's shaping up to be the social event of the season (rumour has it that Paris Hilton may show up. Jessica Simpson sent her regrets.)
TravisLovett Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 lol "I dont know what bassin is...........but i wan it"

It might be a good idea to put up a post up on Avid's info-only thread about which one to buy and how to do it online. And here's a toast (I'm tipping my coffee mug) to that five-pounder, my friend.
