Guest the_muddy_man Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Thank you Avid for all your hard work. I will help with any cleanup that is needed 8-)
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 Great work Avid! Fishermans cove has a marina. Covered docks for rent (w/ electricity) and a launch.
RiskKid. Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Thanks for all your efforts Avid!!!! I'll join up with Muddy so we'll have a Mook squad to make sure everything gets cleaned up.
Super User flechero Posted December 30, 2006 Super User Posted December 30, 2006 Avid, Do you know if we have use of any kitchen equipment? (for warming and heating all the food) Didn't know if you and Linda discussed that. If not we'll have to figure out who can bring stuff... I'm sure many of us have propane fryer set ups that can be used (minus the oil) to heat things up if needed.
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 30, 2006 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 30, 2006 Thanks Avid. You're sensational!

The fishermans cove marina has generously donated use of a private meeting room for 4 evenings at no charge. We need to understand that they will be in peak "spawn season" and their restaurant, bar, etc will be running to capacity. We have use of the room but nothing else. Those needing to heat food will have to do so outside of the facility and bring in the food ready to serve. Knowing the group we have going, I suspect someone will offer to solve this problem

I will be bringing my mountain stove, which is two large burners on a folding stand. Of course, anyone needing to cook will be welcome to use it. I will also be bringing a few pots & pans, serving spoons, etc. that will be available to whoever needs them. Myself and the two mooks will be cooking two nights and we will have everything we need to git er dun! If someone else has a specific need for cooking tools, send me a PM, if I have what you need and can make room in the Bass Buss, I will bring it along. Hurry, the buss is filling up fast. Ronnie
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 Done! Haha,.dig it. Avid- great job on the other post. I added a link to the Texas lisence sales online if anyone wants to save time and get theirs beforehand.

Guest JoshKeller Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Wont say yes definitly, as stuff can happen, but as of right now, it does look like it. I probably wont stay the entire week, I will likely have a tournament the weekend before (coleto invitational), and the weekend after (choke canyon).
Super User Gatorbassman Posted January 4, 2007 Super User Posted January 4, 2007 That's great. PM Avid and let him know what days you might be there so we will have food for ya each night. I will put you on the list.

cwen Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I visit here from time-to-time and this sounds like a great idea. Wish you all the best of luck.
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 6, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 6, 2007 Jim Owens of CAST for Kids just informed me today that he won't be able to make it. On another note, the wife and I have our plane tickets. Woo Hoo!
RiskKid. Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 Went to a fishing show here in Nashville this evening and ran into the folks that own Lake Fork Tackle Repair. Really nice couple...Connie and Tommy Kilpatrick. Anyways they had a booth there and had just driven up from the Fork.....told me all about the sharelunker that just got caught...I felt like a real pro because thanks to Matts post I already knew about it. We talked a while and needless to say it really got me all fired up. Thay gave me a copy of the January edition of the Lake Fork Area News, hadn't really looked at it yet but found a link with the December edition......http://www.lakeforkareanews.com/PDFs/LFAN1206.pdf Thought everyone might enjoy it. I noted Fishermans Cove has an ad in there.....longnecks for two bucks.....seafood feast on Sunday and they even have calamari (Texas style) for Muddy....Karioke is only on Fri and Sat so we'll miss LBH and Avid singin to us ;D. Anyway its got some fising info etc....we're getting closer.........
Guest avid Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 Outstanding find Mr. Riskid. I'm going to post the link on the info thread. 2 buck longnecks!!!!! - I don't know about LBH but I'll singing "That's Amore" after a few. When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie......That's Amore. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh they just don't write em like they used to
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 6, 2007 Author Posted January 6, 2007 If I catch more than 1 fish this time,....I'm singin' anyway!
