Are women allowed on this trip?

1st, Welcome to the forum!!

And yes of course women are allowed to attend.  The trip is open to any and all members of the Bass Resource forum, and friends/family.  There are several wives coming with their husbands as well.  As Roadwarrior said in an earlier post "Women will be treated with the utmost of respect", or something similar.

We would love to have you Suzi-Q!

SUZY-Q,

Welcome aboard!

Of course women are invited. We have four or five already and we are only in the first week of putting this thing together.

C'mon over!

p.s. cravenfish...Woo-Hoo! Hope to see you, too.

Suzy Q, Welcome! I am a woman, so women are definately allowed. We will

probably outfish the men. ;) It would be great if you could come!

Ya your right KU, taking a rented boat out into an unknown lake at night isn't the best idea. I plan on fishing 95% of the time since this may be a once in a lifetime trip. I'll be spending as much time on the water as I can, whether Im in a boat, or beating the bank, it's going to be alot of fun. I didn't think about the trolling motor batteries. How long will they take to recharge? Less than 9-12 hours I hope.

.

OOOps.  There is a problem here that I should have stated early on.  My aching joints don't allow for me to be on the water more than 6 hours or so.  As the lesee of the boat I am solely responsible for any liability and damage.  This means No one takes out the boat without me in it.  I realize that is unfair to you Bassfisherman so I am releasing you from your commitment to split the boating costs.  Ricks still has boats available so you can call him and rent your own, or maybe someone else is less cautious about this sort of stuff than I am.

If your planning on leasing your own. I advise calling soon.  888-425-0979

Sorry about the mixup but this will better for both of us

Well unless I can find someone to rent a boat with, Im out. >:(

This trip fell into place incredibly way to easy.  Therefore in my fun little world of "nothing even turns out right"  I should have taken that as a sign, but I figured I didn't need to since I was dealing with seasoned veterns and great guys.  Well, I simply don't think I'll be able to go, d**n!!!!   I was so incredibly looking forward to this great trip.  Oh well, such is life.  Man did I really want to do this trip, d**n,  is it just me, or does this crap always happen?  Always!!!  I can never have anything good happen, without that equally bad kick in the teeth chugging along right behind the good news.  BOOM, I just lost another couple teeth.  I'd of given up so much to go too.

There is still a very small sliver of a chance of being able to go, but only time will tell.

I have read the whole thread here and it sounds like such a great opportunity to get to know all of you and hang out with..but unfortunately I won't be able to make this trip due to many obligations and extra expenses right now.my husband is well aware of this trip and he said count us in for the next trip.I feel by that time I'll be ready and have more knowledge in bass fishing.so far I have really enjoyed all the wonderful reading and getting familiar with all the forums here on the board.but most of all I want to say it's been a real pleasure to be on this fine board with such great people. :)

Hey BF, don't give up yet. Plan on going anyway and trust God that he will make a way for you to go out with someone on their boat. If you go to other forums in Texas and post up that you will be tyravelling to Fork in March and need a partner somone will come along and help ya by offering to take you. Believe me if you offer them the gas money for the day lots of folks would line up to take you. If I lived there still I would take you out.

It is a cool lake and a fun lake to fish. It has lots of grass, lilly pads, trees of course and lots and lots of structure. March is a long way off so keep on holding out that you are going and see what happens as you get closer. Texasfishingforum.com has a partner finder section. Lots of people post there looking for a ride.

Big Bass, I think that you should plan on coming. I have asked some a couple of

people who have boats and know the lake if they could come and take someone

out. I really think that you will be covered if you come. If you want you can PM

me with your contact information. There is plenty of time to get this worked out.

Keithscatch is right, if you help out with gas there are plenty of people who would

jump on the offer. Think about it!

Thanks Lane!!  I plan on going, but it is almost a waste of time to go and shore fish the whole time, so hopefully something works out. Gas money is never a problem either, I sent a PM.  Thank you,

Hey BF, I'm planning on making the trip and dragging my boat with me. I have to wait for the BASS and BFL 2007 schedule to come out and make sure I don't have a tournament that weekend, and if I dont, I will be making the trip and you would be welcome to fish with me.

Thanks Lane and cravenfish! I sent PM's. Hopefully I can get some good fishing time in. I really want to be there too. Your generosity will be rewarded as well.

You are both great folks. Thanks alot,
